Fact: 80% of people give up on their New Year’s fitness commitments within the first 2 to 6 weeks

We have all seen it or experienced it many times so I want to point it out.

According to many different researches, on average, 80% of people quit in the first few weeks, so you’re not alone.

But why does this happen?

1. Unrealistic expectations – You put in a lot of effort, but you still don’t see results, and your motivation drops.

2. Intense strategy – This often involves a drastic increase in training volume compared to before or making significant changes to your diet, which makes it hard to keep up with the pace after a short time.

3. Lack of support – You may need extra support, or as they say in the Netherlands, stok achter de deur (support when things get tough).
